Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of purifying a protein. Specifically, the present invention relates to a process of purification of a polyclonal antibody and/or antibody fragments. The present invention employs an adsorptive separation using anion exchange chromatography and cation exchange chromatography along with ultrafiltration and diafiltration to achieve high-purity antibody/ or antibody fragments. The process provided in the present invention is applicable for polyclonal antibody and/or antibody fragments, which are associated with conditions but not limited to snake envenomation, scorpion envenomation, diphtheria infection, tetanus infection, rabies virus infection and gas gangrene infection due to Clostridium species.
