Abstract: A PROCESS TO MANUFACTURE CFRP-PGS BASED COMPOSITE LAMINATE FOR HONEYCOMB SANDWICH PANEL The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a hybrid composite laminate and honeycomb sandwich panel with enhanced in-plane thermal conductivity. The process involves cladding one or more layers of Pyrolytic Graphite Sheet (PGS) onto carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates, followed by assembling the PGS-cladded CFRP face skins with an aluminium honeycomb core using film adhesive bonding. The assembly is then cured under vacuum bagging conditions to form a structurally robust sandwich panel exhibiting improved thermal conductivity suitable for aerospace applications such as spacecraft and launch vehicle structures.
