Abstract: A RANDOM FOREST-BASED SYSTEM FOR EARLY DETECTION OF DIABETIC KIDNEY DISEASE (DKD) A Random Forest-based system and method for early detection of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) using routine clinical and laboratory data is disclosed. The system comprises a data preprocessing module configured to handle missing values through imputation and encode categorical variables, a dataset partitioning module for generating training and testing datasets, and a Random Forest classifier trained using optimized parameters including the number of trees and tree depth. The classifier predicts the likelihood of early DKD and generates calibrated risk scores for clinical assessment. The system further determines feature importance rankings to enhance interpretability and support clinician decision-making. The framework is configured to process heterogeneous healthcare datasets containing missing values and class imbalance while maintaining predictive robustness through ensemble learning. The invention may be integrated with electronic health record systems and application programming interfaces to provide real-time predictions, auditability, and periodic model retraining for sustained diagnostic performance.
