Abstract: A Rapid-Fit Prosthetic System for Post-Operative Lower Limb Replacement The present invention relates to a rapid-fit post-operative lower limb prosthetic system (100) for transtibial and transfemoral amputees. The system comprises a direct-fit fiberglass cast socket (102) fabricated directly over a residual limb (112), a thermoplastic elastomer liner (104), one or more pressure-relief pads (106), a detachable shank assembly (114), and a rocker foot plate (128). The shank assembly includes a four-prong anchoring structure (116), an inner perforated pylon (118), an outer pylon (120), and a height-adjustment mechanism (122) for customized alignment and rehabilitation. The prosthetic system enables immediate post-operative fitment, early ambulation, and improved comfort through pressure redistribution and cushioning. A modified socket adaptor (134) having a four-prong adaptor structure (136) allows the direct-fit socket to be subsequently integrated with a modular prosthetic assembly for long-term use. The invention provides a lightweight, low-cost, and rapidly deployable prosthetic solution suitable for rehabilitation centres, prosthetic clinics, and resource-limited healthcare settings.
