The mechanism includes a packet receiver, sequence monitor, arrival time analyzer, loss classification unit, recovery decision engine, reconstruction module, retransmission interface, redundancy adaptation module, deadline-aware buffer, and output delivery unit. Missing packets are classified using timing margin, sequence gaps, priority, and loss history. Recovery is selected among reconstruction, selective retransmission, redundancy adjustment, or substitute delivery before expiry of a consumption deadline, thereby improving continuity and bandwidth efficiency.
