Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a sensor-based wire breakage detection system for continuously monitoring electrical continuity in conductor lines. The system comprises a current transformer (CT) sensor unit, a capacitive touch sensing unit, environmental sensing units, a fault detection circuit, a microcontroller unit, a relay control module, an alert generation module, and a wireless communication module. The CT sensor unit and capacitive touch sensing unit monitor current-flow characteristics and conductive-state variations associated with wire continuity conditions. Upon occurrence of wire breakage or continuity interruption, the fault detection circuit and microcontroller unit determine a fault condition based on predefined threshold parameters. The system subsequently activates a buzzer, LCD display, and relay isolation mechanism to provide real-time fault indication and electrical protection. Operational data and fault-state information are transmitted through a Wi-Fi communication module to a ThinkSpeak cloud platform and an Android-based remote monitoring application for remote monitoring and diagnostics.
