Abstract: The present invention relates to a reconfigurable robotic device, system, and method for operation across multiple environments including aerial, terrestrial, underwater, and conduit environments are disclosed. The robotic device comprises a reconfigurable structural assembly configured to vary size and geometry of the device in response to environmental constraints, a plurality of interconnected sealed enclosures housing sensing, control, communication, power, and mode conversion subsystems, and an articulation assembly configured to enable bending and directional maneuverability. A mobility arrangement including a propulsion unit and a locomotion unit facilitates movement across different environments, while a mode conversion unit selectively transitions the robotic device between different movement configurations. The method comprises detecting environmental parameters, structurally reconfiguring the robotic device, selectively transitioning between movement configurations, and maneuvering the robotic device through operational environments. The invention enables adaptive structural reconfiguration and multimodal operation for inspection, surveillance, and monitoring applications. Figure 1 is the representative figure.
