Abstract: The present disclosure provides a resistance therapy device (100) for transfer of a resistive load across a torso and an upper limb of a user. The device (100) includes a T-shirt body (102) with a front panel (102-2), a rear panel (102-4), and a sleeve portion (102-6), and elastic resistance elements (104) integrated within a fabric of the T- shirt body (102) along a helical pathway (106) extending from a contralateral waist region (102-8), across the rear panel (102-4), over a scapular region (102-10), and to a distal region (102-12) of the sleeve portion (102-6). A midline-crossing segment (106-2) on the rear panel (102-4) redirects a portion of the resistive load through the scapular region (102-10) during upper limb movement. Unlike conventional resistance garments, the device (100) engages scapulothoracic stabilizers during cross-body movement, and finds application in physiotherapy, post-stroke and Parkinson's rehabilitation, and home-based training.
