The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a reverse vending machine designed for automated recycling of plastic (PET) bottles and metal cans. The system comprises a mechanical system and an electronic system for collection, identification, segregation, and reward generation. The mechanical system includes a frame constructed from steel spars with wood support, dual inlet openings for simultaneous input, and a holding mechanism with a load cell. The electronic system includes ultrasonic sensors for object detection, an inductive sensor for material identification, and a load cell with amplifier for weight measurement. An Arduino controller processes sensor signals and controls servo motors for intake and routing of materials. An LCD display provides real-time feedback on item acceptance, weight, and rewards. The system releases a reward such as a coupon or coin based on the type and quantity of recyclable material while ensuring efficient segregated waste storage in urban environments.
