MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611103703 A) filed by Swami Rama Himalayan University on August 27, 2026, for A Reversible Apparatus For Spinal Alignment, Pelvic Stabilization, And Cervical Support.
Inventors include Deepanjali Chauhan; Anushka Saini; and Dr. Saloni Malik.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to therapeutic and exercise support apparatus for musculoskeletal alignment and rehabilitation. Disclosed is a spine improver (100) having a longitudinal main body with a reinforced structural core, a rubber coating, a neck curve (101), a back-support region carrying acupressure pointers (102), a comfortable and grippy hip relaxing comforter (103), and an adjusting angle (104) associated with a central lumbar bridge portion. Compared with conventional fixed-profile back supports, the apparatus provides a reversible configuration and selectable angular support, preferably about 15 degrees to 45 degrees, to vary effective height and steepness under user load, thereby improving lumbar engagement, pelvic anchoring, cervical positioning, and paraspinal pressure application. In a standard mode it supports spinal alignment, pelvic stabilization, cervical support, active rehabilitation, abdominal strengthening, and yoga postures; in a flipped mode it forms a fulcrum for forward-bending postures including Bhunamanasana.
