MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611102869 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on August 26, 2026, for A Rotary Microtablet Sorting Apparatus For High Throughput Pharmaceutical Packaging Lines.

Inventors include Dr. Ritu Gilhotra; and Dr. Gaurav Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: A rotary microtablet sorting apparatus (100) for high-throughput pharmaceutical packaging comprises a product hopper (104), metered feeding mechanism (108), rotary sorting member (110), product-receiving locations (120), inspection assembly (130), rejection assembly (142), discharge assembly (154), and control unit (150). The rotary sorting member (110) transports individual microtablets (101) along a controlled trajectory while sensors (132) inspect and count the microtablets (101). A rotary encoder (118) synchronizes selective rejection of non-conforming units, while accepted microtablets (101) are discharged toward a packaging line (156), improving throughput, counting accuracy, product handling, and packaging consistency.
