MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621063287 A) filed by Ms. Kohia Katariya; and Ms. Anushka Bapat on May 19, 2026, for A Sealed Tri-Domain Tiltrotor Unmanned Vehicle With Dual-Motor Propulsion And Selective Mechanical Torque Redirection.

Inventors include Ms. Kohia Katariya; and Ms. Anushka Bapat.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: A tri-domain unmanned vehicle configured for selective operation across aerial, terrestrial, and aquatic environments is disclosed. The vehicle comprises a buoyant hull (100), at least one electric propulsion motor (200) disposed within a sealed enclosure (210), a plurality of rotor assemblies (104), a transmission system (400) including a clutch assembly (410) and one or more gear stages (420, 430), a terrestrial mobility subsystem comprising wheels (103), an aquatic propulsion subsystem comprising a water-jet assembly (600), and a hardware-implemented control system (700). The transmission system (400) is configured to mechanically and selectively route propulsion torque through physically engageable transmission pathways to provide mode-specific torque and rotational speed characteristics for aerial, terrestrial, and aquatic propulsion. The vehicle is operable across multiple environments without structural reconfiguration or replacement of propulsion modules.
