Abstract: A selective neural stimulation system (100) for pain modulation is disclosed. The system (100) comprises an electrode assembly (110) having a plurality of individually addressable stimulation nodes configured for placement over a target tissue region of a user. A pulse generation unit (120) generates electrical stimulation pulses with programmable pulse width, rise time, and waveform characteristics. The pulses are delivered through a high-speed switching circuit (130) configured to provide ultra-short duration stimulation to the electrode assembly (110). A sensing module (140) measures at least one of skin impedance, back-electromotive force, and neural response signals from the target tissue region. A control unit (150) operatively coupled to the pulse generation unit (120), switching circuit (130), and sensing module (140) adaptively regulates stimulation parameters based on feedback such that pain-conducting nerve fibres are preferentially stimulated while minimizing activation of non-target sensory fibres, thereby achieving controlled and selective pain modulation.
