MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611074007 A) filed by Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology Allahabad on June 15, 2026, for A Self-Compacting Bio-Composite And A Method Of Preparation Thereof.
Inventors include A. K. Sachan; Rama Shanker; and Dinesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a sustainable and self-compacting bio-composite. The bio-composite further comprises of cement, agricultural waste, nano-silica, aggregates and superplaticizer and is obtained by a cost-effective and facile method of synthesis that involves mixing, casting, curing, and thermal exposure. Moreover, the bio-composite exhibits enhanced pozzolanic activity, densified microstructure, nano-refined matrix, and enhanced thermal stability. Therefore, the present invention provides a product through the integration of agro-waste and nanotechnology in SCC framework for fire-resistance applications in the field of engineering.
