Abstract: The present invention relates to a self-healing display assembly comprising a transparent display substrate, a laminated transparent structure, an internal microfluidic resin distribution network, a plurality of pressure-responsive release elements, and an ultraviolet curing mechanism for repairing cracks and microfractures formed in the display substrate. Upon occurrence of crack-induced stress or pressure variation, the pressure-responsive release elements release a transparent curable healing resin from the microfluidic resin distribution network into the crack or microfracture, wherein the healing resin flows into the damaged region through capillary action or pressure-driven movement. The ultraviolet curing mechanism then cures the released healing resin to form a repaired transparent region and reduce further crack propagation. The assembly may further comprise a crack detection arrangement for detecting the damaged region and selectively activating the ultraviolet curing mechanism. The present invention provides an active in-situ repair system that improves structural durability, maintains display usability, reduces replacement cost, and minimizes electronic waste.
