Abstract: ABSTRACT “A SELF-TENSIONING V-BAND CLAMP FOR MOUNTING AND SEALING EXHAUST AFTER-TREATMENT SYSTEMS” The present invention discloses a self-tensioning V-band clamp (100) for mounting and sealing exhaust after-treatment system (EATS) (200) of an internal combustion engine. The clamp (100) includes a band strap (102) encircles by mating exhaust flanges, tightened by a fastening member (102A). A V-shaped segments (104) engages complementary flange profiles achieving axial sealing under clamping force. A mounting bracket (106) integrally positioned between the band strap (102) and V-shaped segments (104), attachable to a vehicle support plate (110). A tensioning member (108), sandwiched between the mounting bracket (106) and band strap (102), provide resilient preload and damping. The tensioning member (108) suppresses vibration-induced loosening, maintaining consistent circumferential tension and improved sealing uniformity. The clamp (100) enhances exhaust leakage resistance of the EATS, ensuring stable alignment between exhaust components and vehicle structure for improved durability performance. Reference will be
