The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A SEMI-POROUS HEXAGONAL-GROOVED CERAMIC ACOUSTIC TILE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF The invention relates to acoustic ceramic building materials, and particularly to a semi-porous hexagonal-grooved ceramic acoustic tile comprising a monolithic sintered ceramic tile body having an incident face, a rear face, and an internal matrix region, wherein a continuous beehive-pattern groove network of hexagonal grooves, groove walls, groove bottoms, and rigid ridges is integrally formed on the incident face. A semi-porous ceramic microstructure having a rigid ceramic skeleton, interconnected voids, and tortuous pore pathways with open porosity of 40% to 65% is provided within the internal matrix region, and a hydrophobic elastomeric nanocomposite coating is disposed on pore walls within a surface-proximate pore region adjacent the incident face. Acoustic pressure oscillations entering through the groove network are communicated into the semi-porous microstructure and dissipated within the tortuous pathways. The invention further provides a method comprising batch preparation, wet milling, addition of polymeric microspheres, spray drying, groove-form pressing, sintering, vacuum impregnation, and thermal curing.
