MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611066190 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on May 25, 2026, for A Single-Stage Single-Phase Three-Level Isolated Ac-Dc Converter.

Inventors include Harishwar Prasad; and Naveen Yalla.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a single-stage single-phase three-level isolated AC-DC converter (100) comprising an AC voltage supply (1) electrically coupled to said diode bridge rectifier (2). The diode bridge rectifier (2) electrically coupled to an impedance device (3). The impedance device (3) electrically coupled to an asymmetrical four switch three-level converter (4) and said the asymmetrical four switch three-level converter (4) electrically coupled to said DC bus (5) to produce a three-level staircase voltage waveform. The DC bus (5) electrically coupled to said LLC resonant converter unit (6) and said LLC resonant converter unit (6) electrically coupled to said isolation transformer (7) and said isolation transformer (7) electrically coupled to said diode bridge rectifier (8) together with said LC filter (9) to obtain stable DC output. A control circuit (11) electrically coupled with said convertor (100) to implement pulse width modulation (PWM) technique to generate the driving signals.
