The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The titled invention discloses to a bio adhesive film-forming topical spray comprising a combination of fast-acting and long-acting local anesthetics along with a hemostatic agent incorporated in a polymeric matrix. Upon application, the volatile solvent evaporates forming a thin adherent film on the affected area. The formulation provides immediate analgesic action, rapid hemostasis, and sustained release of active agents. The invention addresses limitations of conventional topical formulations such as short duration of action and lack of bleeding control. The composition may include lidocaine (1), bupivacaine (2), tranexamic acid (3), and bioadhesive polymers (4) such as chitosan and poloxamer. The lidocaine (1) provides rapid anesthetic action, the bupivacaine (2) ensures prolonged analgesia, the tranexamic acid (3) promotes clot stabilization and bleeding control, while the bioadhesive polymers (4) form a protective film matrix that enhances adhesion, localized retention, and controlled release of the active ingredients. The invention is applicable in wound care, dental procedures, and emergency first aid.
