Abstract: The present invention discloses a smart capsule cap with dosage reminder and tamper-indication and a method for preparation and use thereof. The cap comprises a housing adapted to fit standard medication containers, a microcontroller, alert components including a buzzer, light-emitting diode or vibration module, a timing mechanism for generating dosage reminders, a sensing mechanism for detecting cap opening events, a tamper detection mechanism, and a wireless communication module. The device is configured to provide scheduled alerts, record medication access, and detect unauthorized or forced opening of the container. The cap further communicates usage and tamper data to an external device or mobile application for monitoring and compliance tracking. The invention provides a compact, portable, and cost-effective solution for improving medication adherence and enhancing safety in home healthcare environments.
