MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611059966 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Pharmacy Institute on May 12, 2026, for A Smart Drug Delivery System Using Biosensors.
Inventors include Pentela Bhavani; and Annu Bhati.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: A smart drug delivery system using biosensors is disclosed. The system includes a biosensor module, signal conditioning unit, controller, release actuator, drug reservoir, delivery interface, power module, memory module, and communication module. The biosensor detects a physiological parameter and provides a conditioned signal to the controller, which compares the signal with stored therapeutic parameters and regulates drug release through the actuator. Safety controls limit unintended dosing, verify actuator response, and record delivery events for clinical monitoring and patient-specific therapy management.
