Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart luggage tracker system for real-time monitoring and recovery management of checked baggage. The system comprises a permanently embedded luggage tracking module having a multi-mode positioning unit, a wireless communication module, a motion sensing unit, a tamper detection unit and a secure storage element. The system further comprises a cloud processing platform including an ingestion gateway, a location aggregation engine, an itinerary correlation module, an anomaly classification engine, an alert and recovery workflow engine and a consent and audit management module. The system combines Global Positioning System (GPS), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon detection and Wi-Fi assisted positioning for continuous indoor and outdoor baggage tracking. The system enables secure telemetry communication, automated anomaly detection, passenger notification, controlled data access and intelligent baggage recovery management across airport, transit and flight environments.
