Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart manufacturing system integrating industrial robotics and Internet of Things for adaptive production control. The system comprises industrial robots, IoT sensor nodes, machine interface modules, an edge computing unit, a secure communication gateway, a manufacturing intelligence server, and an operator interface. The IoT sensor nodes acquire real-time data relating to machine status, robot operation, workpiece condition, tool health, quality parameters, energy consumption, and environmental conditions. The edge computing unit processes the acquired data using rule-based logic, anomaly detection, and machine-learning inference to generate adaptive control instructions for modifying robotic movement, task sequence, tool engagement, gripping force, inspection priority, or task allocation. The manufacturing intelligence server performs long-term production analysis, predictive maintenance, quality correlation, and process optimization. The system provides closed-loop manufacturing control, improves product quality, reduces downtime, enhances production flexibility, supports traceability, and enables intelligent coordination between robots and connected industrial assets.
