Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart shopping trolley system and a process for automated retail billing thereof. The system comprises an RFID reader module, an Arduino-based microcontroller, an LCD display unit, input control buttons, a motor driver circuit, and one or more DC motors integrated within a trolley structure. RFID-enabled products are automatically identified through RFID tags, and billing information is updated in real time on the display unit without manual barcode scanning. The system further enables addition and removal of products dynamically while maintaining cumulative billing records. A motor-assisted movement mechanism reduces physical effort during shopping operations. The invention provides RFID detection accuracy greater than 95% with low billing response latency, thereby reducing checkout delays, minimizing human errors, improving transparency, and enhancing customer convenience in retail environments.
