Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart surplus food redistribution system using priority-based NGO matching. The system comprises a donor interface for submitting food donation details including food type, quantity, location, and availability time; a NGO registration interface to store operational details of registered NGOs; a Food donation database to maintain records of donors, NGOs, food availability, pickup status, and transaction history; a priority-based matching technology to calculates scores to select the most suitable NGO with highest priority score; a NGO notification and pickup system to inform the NGO having highest priority score about the food pickup request; and an administrative verification module configured to authenticate users, validate donation requests, and monitor system operations. The invention automatically connects food donors with the most suitable NGO through a structured scoring mechanism instead of manual or random assignment. By evaluating critical factors prior to allocation, the system improves efficiency in surplus food redistribution, minimizes food wastage, supports hunger relief activities, and ensures transparent record maintenance for monitoring and management. The proposed system enables faster, organized, and reliable food donation coordination.
