The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a solid-glass-electrolyte coated sodium metal anode comprising (Na2O)x(SiO2)yYz, where x = 2-3, y = 5-6, and z = 1-1.5, and a method for growing the solid-glass-electrolyte over a sodium metal anode. The solid-glass-electrolyte coated sodium metal anode of the present invention is used in a room- temperature sodium-sulfur battery for energy storage that exhibits a stable cycle-life of over 100 cycles at a C-rate of C/40.
