Abstract: The present invention offers a solid-state switching system for controlling a high-power load using a low-voltage digital control signal comprises a signal conditioning module establishing a deterministic switching threshold, a drive conversion module translating the conditioned signal from a first voltage domain into a second higher voltage domain, a voltage-controlled power switching module having no mechanically moving parts configured to conduct or interrupt current to a load interface module in response to the translated drive signal, and a load interface module configured to connect a load within a defined operating voltage and current range. The system transitions between switching states in 100 nanoseconds to 1 microsecond, draws less than 1 milliampere from the control signal source, supports load voltages continuously variable from 0 volts to 50 volts, and eliminates mechanical contact bounce.
