Abstract: The present invention relates to a staircase-climbing robot designed to navigate staircases and uneven terrains where conventional wheeled robots exhibit limited mobility. The robot employs a mechanically efficient rocker–bogie mechanism that enables continuous ground contact and effective load distribution during vertical and transitional movements. The system comprises a central chassis supporting power supply and control electronics, rocker arms mounted on opposite sides of the chassis, bogie links pivotally connected to the rocker arms, and multiple drive wheels actuated by electric motors. Differential motion between the rocker arms allows the robot to climb stairs step-by-step while maintaining stability and preventing tipping. Wireless control facilitates remote operation, while a lightweight and modular structure enables adaptation for diverse applications. The invention is suitable for use in disaster management, military surveillance, industrial inspection, and indoor delivery systems, offering improved mobility, stability, and operational reliability on staircases and irregular surfaces.
