Abstract: ABSTRACT A STEEL–CONCRETE COMPOSITE WALL SYSTEM FOR SEISMIC AND GRAVITY LOAD RESISTANCE AND METHOD THEREOF A steel–concrete composite (SCC) wall system is disclosed, comprising a single-sided profiled steel sheet (106), reinforced concrete boundary elements, and a concrete core (100) for resisting gravity and lateral seismic loads. The profiled steel sheet (106) is provided on one face of the wall panel and functions as permanent formwork, tensile reinforcement, and a confinement element, while the opposite face presents a plain reinforced concrete surface. Composite interaction between the profiled steel sheet (106) and the concrete core (100) is achieved through mechanical interlocking and anchorage using lipped Z-sections (202) and self-tapping screws (200), thereby eliminating the need for numerous welded or bolted shear stud connectors. Reinforcement bars are arranged within the wall web and boundary elements to enhance flexural, shear, and axial load resistance. The wall system enables horizontal casting and is suitable for cast-in-place, precast, and modular construction, and includes a wall-to-wall connection arrangement (500, 502, 504, 506) for joining adjacent panels at in-line, corner, and T-joint intersections.
