Abstract: A STIFFENER DEVICE FOR A SKIN PLATE The present disclosure pertains to cost effective and light weight stiffener device (100) for a skin plate (302). The stiffener device (100) comprises a top member (102) having a leading edge (102-1) and a trailing edge. The stiffener device (100) comprises a first side member (104) coupled to the leading edge (102-1) of the top member (102). The first side member (104) being orthogonally coupled to the top member (102). Further, the stiffener device (100) comprises a second side member (106) configured parallel to the first side member (104), and is coupled to the trailing edge of the top member (102). A set of bottom members (108-1, 108-2) is coupled to the first and second side members (104, 106), and are welded to the skin plate (302). In addition, the top member (102), the first and second side members (104, 106), and the set of bottom members (108-1, 108-2) are adapted to form a receptacle to increase rigidity of the skin plate (302).
