MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073681 A) filed by Ankur Jain; and Anindita Tiwari on June 13, 2026, for A Storage-State Self-Discharge Compensation System And Method For Multi-Cell Battery Packs.

Inventor includes Ankur Jain.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A STORAGE-STATE SELF-DISCHARGE COMPENSATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-CELL BATTERY PACKS A storage-state self- discharge compensation system (100) and method (200) for a multi-cell battery pack (102) are disclosed. The system (100) comprises a voltage monitoring unit (106) configured to acquire voltage measurements of battery cells (104), a compensation control unit (108) configured to identify a battery cell (104) exhibiting a self- discharge-induced voltage deviation, and a compensation unit (110) configured to selectively supply energy from an external energy source to the identified battery cell (104). The compensation control unit (108) operates during a storage state or electrically isolated state of the battery pack (102) to reduce the voltage deviation. The method (200) comprises acquiring (202) voltage measurements of battery cells (104), determining (208) a reference cell voltage, identifying (210, 204) a battery cell (104) exhibiting a self-discharge-induced voltage deviation, and selectively supplying (206) energy from an external energy source to the identified battery cell (104). FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
