MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082721 A) filed by Mr. Sandip Baburao Chavan on July 05, 2026, for A Sustainable Bio-Brick Composition Utilizing Sugarcane Bagasse Fiber, Rice Husk Ash And Natural Binders For Eco-Friendly Building Applications.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a sustainable bio-brick concept utilizing sugarcane bagasse fiber, rice husk ash and natural binders for environmentally friendly building applications. Agricultural residues are processed and combined with a biodegradable binding material to produce molded brick units that are cured without conventional high-temperature firing. The concept promotes the beneficial utilization of biomass waste while reducing dependence on fired clay and other energy-intensive construction materials. The resulting bio-brick is intended to provide a lightweight construction material with potential advantages including thermal insulation, reduced environmental impact and improved resource efficiency.
