Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A SYNERGISTIC HERBICIDAL COMPOSITION OF N-(3,4-DICHLOROPHENYL)PROPANAMIDE AND 2-CHLORO-N- (2,6-DIETHYLPHENYL)-N-(2-PROPOXYETHYL)ACETAMIDE The present invention relates to a synergistic herbicidal composition comprising bio-effective amount of N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)propanamide herbicide and 2-chloro-N-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-N-(2-propoxyethyl)acetamide herbicide and method for its preparation. The present invention is bio-efficacious, synergistic, safe to natural enemies, does not have residual effects on crops. It is harmonious to plant/crop environment and does not has phytotoxicity on any parts of plant. The present invention has excellent hydrolytic stability, translaminar and rainfastness property after its application on plants or crops.
