The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A system (100) detects, tracks, and extracts a vanished portion of an underwater object from underwater optical images. The system (100) comprises an image acquisition module (102) for acquiring temporally ordered underwater image frames and a pre-processing module (106) including a noise-removal unit (108), a Max- RGB colour-correction unit (110), and a shade-of-grey transformation unit (112). The enhanced frames are processed by a hybrid CNN-RNN processing module (114) having a convolutional feature-extraction unit (116) for extracting spatial features and a recurrent temporal-analysis unit (118) for determining temporal variations. An object-detection and classification module (120) identifies an object portion that becomes absent, indistinct, or obscured. A Kalman-filter tracking module (122) estimates an object state and trajectory and predicts an expected location of the vanished portion. A vanished-part extraction module (124) correlates the predicted location with spatial and temporal information, while an output-generation module (128) generates the detected object and extracted vanished portion.
