Abstract: Disclosed is a system (100) for harvesting electrical energy from body heat and sweat. The system (100) comprises a human body energy source (102), a thermoelectric generator (104), a sweat-based bioelectrochemical electrode (106), a DC–DC boost converter (108), a battery charging module (110), a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (112), a microcontroller (114), a heart-rate sensor (116), and a display unit (118). The thermoelectric generator (104) generates a first electrical output from a temperature gradient between skin and surroundings. The sweat-based bioelectrochemical electrode (106) generates a second electrical output through electrochemical interaction with electrolytes in sweat. The DC–DC boost converter (108) boosts low-voltage energy, while the battery charging module (110) regulates charging of the rechargeable lithium-ion battery (112). The microcontroller (114) controls system operation, the heart-rate sensor (116) detects pulse information, and the display unit (118) displays wearable output information for sustainable low-power wearable operation in real-time monitoring applications.
