Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR MONITORING AND MANAGING ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION The present disclosure discloses a system (100) and a method (200) for monitoring and managing electricity consumption. The system (100) comprises multiple sensors (102), an energy meter (104), and a mobile network tower (106) for measuring, recording, and transmitting consumption data in near real-time. A meter data acquisition system (108) collects and stores the data, which is integrated into a server (110) hosting a web portal and mobile application (112). The server (110) includes a meter data management system (110a) to integrate consumption data with master consumer data in a central database (110b). A login module (110c) enables secure consumer access, an electricity calculation module (110d) calculates usage and associated costs, and an alert module (110e) generates alerts based on predefined thresholds. A consumer device (114) displays usage information and alerts in real-time, thereby enhancing consumer awareness, promoting efficient energy consumption, and effectively enabling demand-response capabilities.
