Inventors include Bani, Supriya Gupta; Dharamsare, Pranay; and Kane, Deepankar.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) and method (500) for turbine-site edge wind power forecasting. The system (100) includes a sensor interface module (120) receiving real-time wind energy data from wind turbine data sources (110), including wind speed, wind direction, and measured power output. A data preprocessing unit (130) normalizes, and forms sliding time-series input windows from the real-time wind energy data. An edge artificial intelligence processing unit (140) executes a hybrid prediction engine (150), which includes a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (152) for extracting short-term temporal feature representations, a bi-directional long short-term memory network (154) for processing the representations in forward and backward temporal directions, and a base power prediction component (156) for generating a base wind power prediction. An adaptive error correction module (160) determines residual prediction errors and generates a final corrected wind power prediction, which is transmitted to a smart grid monitoring system (180).
