The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: A system and a method for vision-based autonomous object tracking and navigation are disclosed. The system utilizes visual data acquired from an onboard camera to perform real-time detection, tracking, and navigation in indoor environments using an embedded processing unit. The method includes capturing visual data, preprocessing the data, detecting a target object, tracking the target object across successive frames, estimating relative distance, and generating navigation commands for movement. The system operates using a unified processing pipeline without reliance on external positioning systems or multiple high-cost sensors. The navigation is performed based on positional information of the target object within the field of view, enabling controlled movement of a wheeled robotic platform. The system is configured to operate within defined ranges of frame rate, latency, and processing load to ensure consistent operation on embedded hardware. The disclosed system provides a compact and cost-effective solution for autonomous indoor robotic applications. (FIG. 4)
