Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A BEHAVIOR-DRIVEN CRUISE CONTROL FOR A VEHICLE A behavior- driven cruise control system (100) for a vehicle (102) determines a riding score based on vehicle parameters collected by a sensor unit (104) comprising sensors (106). A control unit (108) uses the riding score to select a preferred cruise mode based on first and second threshold conditions. A cruise mode selection module (110) activates a first cruise mode when the riding score remains at or below a first threshold value for a first predetermined duration, and activates a second cruise mode when the riding score remains at or above a second threshold value for a second predetermined duration. When the riding score lies between the thresholds, a current cruise mode is maintained. A cruise torque determination module (112) generates a torque value based on a difference between current vehicle speed and a reference speed, and a communication module (114) transmits the torque value to a motor control unit (116).
