Abstract: ABSTRACT A System and Method for AI-Based Cybersecurity Threat Detection and Automated Incident Response in Distributed Computing Environments The present disclosure relates to a system and method for AI based cybersecurity threat detection and autonomous distributed incident response in distributed computing environments. The system includes a processor, memory, communication interface, multi-layer cyber signal fusion module, distributed threat consensus engine, infrastructure security graph generator, attack progression prediction engine, hardware-assisted security enforcement module, autonomous incident containment orchestrator, federated threat intelligence learning module, adaptive security policy evolution engine, and self-healing infrastructure recovery module. Cyber-behavior intelligence is obtained from the collection of cybersecurity telemetry data from cloud resources, edge nodes, virtual machines, containers, network devices, and user endpoints. Distributed computing nodes generate and validate encrypted threat fingerprints by federated consensus. The system predicts attack propagation routes, automatically implements the containment actions, dynamically applies security controls with hardware-assisted mechanisms, optimizes security policies, and recovers compromised resources with self-healing recovery operations. The invention improves the accuracy of threat detection, reduces the false positive detections, speeds up the incident response, improves the cyber resilience, and enables secure decentralized threat intelligence exchange through distributed computing infrastructures.
