Abstract: ABSTRACT A System and Method for AI-Based Intelligent Cyber Threat Detection and Response The present disclosure provides a system and method for detecting, validating, containing and recovering from cyber threats on a computing network. The system receives time-stamped telemetry from monitored computing resources including network, endpoint, identity, process, and configuration-state events . The output of the evidence normalization module is a set of source-linked, time-aligned packets of evidence. The cross-layer threat correlation engine correlates the packets to build a suspected attack lineage. A contextual risk-envelope generator computes a permissible containment boundary based on threat confidence, asset criticality, service dependency and authorization state. A deception micro-environment uses a decoy resource of the attack lineage to deceive. An intent validation module validates malicious activity from an unauthorized decoy interaction. A response safety governor authorizes a commensurate containment action and an autonomous containment actuator performs the action. Minimizing containment, threat dwell time and lateral propagation through a post-response state verification module and a tamper-evident evidence storage, as well as a controlled restoration instruction
