Abstract: ABSTRACT: TITLE: A system and method for cattle tracking using LoRa and LSTM-based location prediction The present invention relates to a system and method for real-time cattle tracking and location prediction using LoRa communication and machine learning techniques. A LoRa-based tracker attached to some cattle transmits wireless data packets that are received by at least three fixed gateways positioned at known locations. Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values (104) measured at the gateways are transmitted to a processing server (108), where the data is preprocessed (112) and converted into distance estimates using a log- distance path loss model. A least-squares optimization process and trilateration algorithm (118) are employed to determine the real- time position of the cattle. Historical location data generated from the tracking process is further processed using a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) network trained with an Adam optimizer to predict future cattle locations. The system continuously learns movement patterns and improves prediction accuracy over time. The invention provides long-range, low-power, real-time livestock monitoring and predictive location tracking suitable for large farms, grazing lands, and remote agricultural environments.
