Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a solar infrared energy conversion system for generating electrical power from the infrared portion of incident solar radiation. The system comprises an optical concentration subsystem including a parabolic dish (102) configured to receive solar radiation from the Sun (101) and concentrate reflected infrared rays (108) toward a focal region. A rectenna-based receiver subsystem (109) positioned at the focal region converts the concentrated infrared electromagnetic radiation into high-frequency electrical signals through infrared-resonant nano-antenna elements integrated with ultra-high-speed rectifying elements. A frequency-domain energy processing subsystem implements superheterodyne frequency down-conversion using a mixer and a tunable local oscillator to produce an intermediate-frequency electrical signal suitable for amplification and conditioning. The conditioned signal is converted into a regulated direct-current electrical output and supplied to an electrical load (110). The system provides a non-photovoltaic and non-thermal pathway for solar energy conversion by integrating optical concentration, rectenna-based electromagnetic conversion, and frequency-domain processing within a unified hardware architecture.
