Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GALE GUESSTIMATION The present disclosure discloses a gale guesstimation system (100) and method (200) for a vehicle, configured to detect, analyze, and predict hazardous wind and crosswind conditions during vehicle operation. The system (100) includes first sensing units (102) for measuring apparent wind velocity relative to a moving vehicle and a second sensing unit for determining vehicle velocity vectors. An electronic control unit (116) computes true environmental wind velocity using a vector algebra module (104) by resolving apparent wind and vehicle motion vectors. A tracking module (106) stores time-series wind data in a database (114), and a prediction module (108) forecasts future wind conditions using machine-learning-based temporal modelling. A threshold condition module (110) compares predicted wind conditions with predefined safety thresholds (110a), and an alert generation module (112) provides real-time multimodal alerts and communicates wind intelligence to vehicle control and advanced driver assistance systems to enhance vehicle safety.
