MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611093441 A) filed by Harsh Khatter; Anjali Jain; Alka Singhal; and Dinesh Kumar on July 31, 2026, for A System And Method For Gestational Diabetes Prediction And Diet Recommendation.
Inventors include Anjali Jain; Alka Singhal; Dinesh Kumar; and Harsh Khatter.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a computer-implemented system and method for early prediction of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) and generation of personalized dietary recommendations using an integrated artificial intelligence framework. The method comprises acquiring maternal clinical, biochemical, physiological, and pregnancy-related data, preprocessing the acquired data through class balancing and feature normalization, extracting temporal features using a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network, and classifying the extracted features using an L²-Norm Support Vector Machine to identify gestational diabetes. The generated recommendations include energy intake, carbohydrate distribution, protein requirements, fat composition, and micronutrient supplementation. The proposed invention provides an integrated clinical decision-support framework that combines early disease prediction with individualized nutritional intervention, thereby improving prediction accuracy, clinical interpretability, and maternal healthcare management.
