Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for adaptive optimisation of distributed energy resources based on real-time grid capacity conditions. The system continuously monitors available grid import capacity and computes a grid capacity ratio with respect to peak demand. Based on predefined threshold values derived from value of stochastic solution analysis, the system dynamically selects between deterministic, hybrid, and stochastic optimisation modes. The method incorporates scenario-based optimisation using forecasting error metrics and executes scheduling through a rolling horizon framework with a defined planning and control horizon. The adaptive selection of optimisation modes enables reduction of computational burden under unconstrained conditions while ensuring effective handling of uncertainty under constrained grid conditions. The invention provides a non-linear threshold-based decision mechanism for mode switching, thereby improving operational efficiency, adaptability, and reliability of distributed energy resource systems across varying grid conditions.
