MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621068716 A) filed by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University College Of Engineering on June 01, 2026, for A System And Method For Longitudinal Prediction Of Multiple Sclerosis Progression.
Inventors include Trupti Suryawanshi; and Bindu Garg.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LONGITUDINAL PREDICTION OF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS PROGRESSION The present disclosure relates to a system and method for longitudinal prediction of Multiple Sclerosis progression. The system (100) comprises a wearable sensor interface (102) configured to acquire physiological and kinematic signals, an edge processing unit (104) configured to generate neurological baseline profiles, detect deviation events, and generate progression biomarkers, and an artificial intelligence engine (106) configured to process the progression biomarkers together with MRI-derived neurological features and clinical parameters for generating progression prediction outputs. The system (100) further comprises a clinician feedback module (108) configured to recalibrate prediction parameters using clinician-validated correction inputs. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
