Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MECHANICAL PERSONALIZED LOAD ASSESSMENT OF A SCHOOL BACKPACK A system (100) and method (200) for mechanical personalized load assessment of a school backpack are disclosed. The system (100) comprises a backpack body (102), a reinforced backplate (104) defining a structural load transfer path, a shoulder harness assembly (106), a float indicator module (112) including a sealed elastomeric air bladder (118), a visual indication assembly (108), and a mechanically operable student-attribute correlation assembly (110). The float indicator module (112) mechanically responds to carried load transmitted through the structural load transfer path, while the visual indication assembly (108) generates a visible indication corresponding to compression of the sealed elastomeric air bladder (118). The student-attribute correlation assembly (110) establishes a personalized recommended load reference based on predetermined student attributes including at least body weight, enabling direct mechanical comparison with the visible indication to determine whether the carried load falls within a recommended personalized load range without requiring electrical power, electronic sensing elements, or digital processing circuitry.
