Abstract: ABSTRACT A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MODULAR MULTI-LAYER FILTRATION OF BIOGAS The invention relates to the field of biogas purification and discloses a modular filtration system comprising a vertically oriented cylindrical housing with an inlet port and outlet port. Within the housing, biogas first traverses a granular moisture-absorbent layer evenly distributed by a snap-fit perforated metal disc, then passes through a planar gas separation membrane secured in a gasketed circumferential frame on a support disc to selectively permeate impurities, and finally flows through a polishing layer containing activated carbon and zeolite, restrained by a perforated grid. A tool-free closure mechanism facilitates rapid extraction and replacement of the modular filtration cartridge.
