Abstract: The present invention relates to a cyber-physical system and method for real-time monitoring and regulation of a movable Retractable Rigid Catenary System used in railway traction infrastructure. The system comprises a plurality of field sensors coupled through a telemetry interface to a central processing unit. The processing unit executes a vertical current-collection engine configured to evaluate a multi-layer mechanical representation of the current-collection arrangement, contact-force variation, vertical displacement, and transient contact separation. A parallel horizontal geometric engine processes vehicle operating and track-geometry information to determine dynamic lateral movement, allowable stagger, and minimum structural implantation while considering an electrical safety clearance. The processing architecture further accommodates spatial variations in mechanical stiffness and mass across structural transition regions. Field measurements are coupled with computational evaluation to generate diagnostic outputs representing current-collection and geometric safety conditions. The invention thereby provides an integrated sensor-to-model feedback architecture for monitoring and regulating rigid overhead traction infrastructure under varying railway operating conditions
